Son, Daddy Is No More
www.facebook.com/WRRPoetry [Son, Daddy Is No More]
Caught between a smile and a teardrop
Unforgettable thought collides with emotion evoking nostalgia
But it’s in the here and now that I’ve got to say’
Son, Daddy is no more!

Two seconds of smiles and two minutes of tears
Reality is crushing and truth merciless
This void so deep, with no remedy for shattered hearts
Facing truths may heal wounds in time
Son, Daddy is no more!

Huh!? Wiping tears
Hopefully the road ahead might seem clearer
Sitting here in reminisce of gone days is a shovel
Widening and deepening this void
Cos Son, Daddy is no more!

Though I can’t explain or even understand
But I bleed inside, why! I’m so wounded
Even though I can’t name it but who can tame it
Except them who say cry and wipe
Life waits for no man; Son, Daddy is no more!

The only good I see is I got you and I love you
Though we’ll never get to be with Daddy again
But in our hearts we can remember
And thank our heavenly king for our borrowed time
It hadn’t been long…

Son, Daddy is no more!

This poem intrinsically reflect my innermost feeling. I am extreemly delighted there is one more person whose experience / emotions are identical. Thanks for sharing. You can read my article about my father at http://seshendrasharma.weebly.com
    With profound regards
