A gargantuan political weed
Where corruption breeds
For office rogues to feed
Giant of Africa!
Where impunity prevails
At the expense of justice
For the pot-belly figures
Giant of Africa!
My wonderful father land
Where citizens are refugees
In their own abode
Giant of Africa!
Where democracy exists
For the interest of the minority
To the detriment of the majority
Giant of Africa!
That is blessed with human resources
Utilized in falsity
For the well being of the nonentities!

O giant of Africa,
You may become a politician who sells your promises but never attempts to deliver because you only want to use your country for your own benefit,
And when you do so, you are a leech that sucks the blood of Life and deserves nothing but the fire of hatred from your own people
Or you may become a politician who faithfully serves your country for the sake of the people, and never thinks of the benefit of your own or your group,
And when you do so, you are a candlelight that burns itself for the light of others and your name shall forever be in glory
