Read Time:35 Second

I feel this agony in my soul,
the pain for a long lost goal.
When I think back, through the years,
I cannot but let the free flow of tears.
When I think of the by-gone days,
days when the sun still had her rays,
Days when the flowers still had their bloom,
when my life knew nothing of gloom.
Glorious days when the future looked bright,
times when there was still a guiding light.
What happened to those days?
Why, they’ve all flown!
And the hopes have all been blown,
Leaving sad memories in a mad race.

Melancholic. Regrets are truly exhausting. Best keep moving.

Just a work of fiction. I thought of what regret could feel like, picked my pen and wrote this.
