Dance Of The Holy Sinners
www.facebook.com/WRRPoetry [Dance Of The Holy Sinners]
There they are on the mighty rock of Aso
drunk on blood while feeding the led with canards
They feast and dance to the rattling of million skulls
and the many unheard voices of destinies
nailed to the cross of ‘unity’

They are a pestilence to the country they confess love for

Like vultures, they gather and take a sip
of the blood flowing from Borno to Maiduguri
There they are taking names, pushing blames and getting famed.
Pettybourgeous leaders leaving the nation in a state of sixes and sevens
While hiding under a phantom they named Boko Haram

Here we are – supposed jury during elections
Yet we do nothing but whisper during selections
We tour the streets day and night
but know nothing about the falling lamp stand –
six of one and half a dozen of the other

Laying in wait for 2015 with their placards
well painted with blood of citizens
and the symphony of their cacophonous melody
well welded with fantasies, screams at us ‘VOTE!’

I mean the bearers of darkness
who view the future with a blind man’s eye glass
They fight the tsunami with the spade of doom –
the holy sinners who dance to the tune of bloody singers
