Read Time:1 Minute, 0 Second

There were times when life gave me a hug
Colleagues and confidants, all under my chants,
Girls in college melting at my sight,
Even the sun had come visiting at night.

I was a full moon the night just couldn’t avoid,
Stars, trees and sands, they just couldn’t get annoyed,
I never really cared to save you some attention,
But you stood close, knowing I’ve found distraction.

As the day passes my smile grew pale and died,
Life needed payment, at least she had been so sweet.
In loneliness I slept, in nudity I awaited luxury
But every care had faded and all I had was you.

Shadows snubbed me, birds lost their lyrics at my sight.
Each time my heart sings, they were just melodies of anguish.
All hope was lost that I danced to songs which never existed.
Suddenly I felt your arms wrapped about my spirit.

I was a fool who lost his track
When all was cool, it skipped my thought that you were there
But now life’s got a scar, hope turned his back
But you’ve been there, all along you were here.

You never left.
I guess I’m just another desert without you.
