Gasping for breath… temperature rising… heart
Thud! Thud! Faster thud!! Thud!! Thud!!!
Conflicting emotions… hazy figures… moving
Is that the sky?
How come its looks so static, so flat so white?
A heart piercing scream… excruciating pain…
It’s unbearable, I can’t cope, I can’t do this
But tiny hands, tiny feet, innocence, I have to fight
Gasping for breath…temperature rising… heart
Thud!! Thud!! Shorter thud! Thud! Thud!!
One big breathe… just inhale and exhale…too many
Will this be enough?
Can I pull through, will I do this again?
Inhale, exhales… push…free fall… total darkness
Reality set in, is that my baby… so tiny, so
I can do this again
*For every child who is not mothers first
