CHIMAMANDA NGOZI ADICHIE’s way of thinking and writing stories about feminism is compelling and worth reading as shown in WE SHOULD ALL BE FEMINISTS.

She conquers the mentality that being a girl is an excuse to be less than the best a person can be and I support her.

She is an educated feminist and a good role model to young girls that are just discovering themselves in largely male dominated societies.

On another level, this book is an eye opener for men to learn how they can help in reducing gender injustices.

My first encounter with knowing Adichie was unplanned. I was attempting to overcome my boredom when “NEPA” refused to supply electricity when I found her TEDx talk, THE DANGER OF A SINGLE STORY.

I was so moved by her intelligence that I was swept off my mind.

From that talk, I proceeded to watch another TEDx presentation of hers – the spoken version of WE SHOULD ALL BE FEMINISTS.

I was immensely drawn into every idea and story she had to tell about being a girl.

Adichie presented her opinion on why feminism matters, especially for Nigerians, in a sensible and rebuking way towards the so-called traditional roles and gender stereotypes. Of course, it goes without saying that this speech is very good. No wonder Beyoncé featured it in her song FLAWLESS.

I recommend it for all, irrespective of gender or age.
