At fuel stations we still wait in lines.
The young have become restless,
Daily increasing their portfolio of crime.
Workers earn less than a dime,
Hence, their kids feed only on lime.
Yet they walk freely,
Not doing the time!
Inyang wonders if he’d see change in his lifetime.
He dreams someday he’d own a clothing line.
But, he doubts if it’d stand the test of time,
With their harsh policies that change from time to time.
Has our messiah come and gone?
Are we now left all alone?
Does corruption now rule our homes?
Leaving the masses with nothing but bones?
God forbid!
Every man shall pay for his greed.
