The journey to self-realization and self-perfection
Is fraught with too many dangers
Education is the ammunition against their snares.
It’s the potter that reshapes the clay of human resources,
It’s the leveler of men, decider of our fates
It’s the torch, lighting paths that feet stumble not
It’s the key that frees minds, locked in ignorance’s cell
A treasure of value beyond measure;
The lack of it is the greatest of all calamities,
Unfailing vaccine that immunizes the mind;
Query the mind that got it and tuned out a fool
It arms your mind with weapons
Useful beyond the walls of the college
Shows you the path to the right altitude
And guards you against turpitude
It whispers to ears that seek to be wise,
And shows great wonders to open eyes
It is a flame that burns bright
A propeller to a greater height
Education is the best gift of all,
Get it right and you’ll stand tall.
