Read Time:41 Second

Were I to sing of little cupid’s snare,
The spiky net which traps my helpless heart,
I’d sing of nature’s setless sun – the flare
From it which sends ray-darts that pierce my heart.

I’d solo verses that breathe purest love;
And my flute play enchanting melody;
My song would make Queen Venus fall in love,
For a love like ours makes others muddy.

I would enthrall Zeus, he’d come and dance;
The drums I’d beat in rhythm to our hearts.
I’d sing a song, a song of time and chance,
A chance that made a heart of our two hearts.

But I’ll sit and just dream dreams, princess mine.
I’ll think of you, then me, then you as mine.
