We weep under the cloud of pain
Unleashed by the merciless hands of our captors
Who shall rescue us?
Who shall we tell our stories?
Father is far away…
Mother is heartbroken…
The government is helpless…

We weep for the blinking tomorrow
which has metamorphosed our minds into fear…
Who shall we pray to?
Our religion is changed
And our lifelong dreams crash before us
Like an infant who longs for morrow in vain…
This is no longer us
We have been taught the ways of women
In the most painful ways
This is no longer us

Fate hasn’t been fair to us
Daily we dream dreams
But fate is the controller of mankind

So if someday, or sometimes
We get a chance to tell the world our stories
We shall tell them where we tarried
We shall tell them tales of our horrible nights
We shall tell them that this is no longer us
