Read Time:1 Minute, 7 Second

Cupid has shot its ominous arrow.
Piercing my heart, now love has become my woe.
I lay here day and night on this mat.
Knowing its cupids fault, not my hearts.
I won’t blame my heart, neither will I blame my eyes.
The blames cupids, as well as my lips for being solid ice.
But the blame they share is nothing compared to yours.
For your pulchritude persistently petrifies me, baring all my flaws.
The very sight of you takes me to heaven.
But only for a little more than a minute, at most seven.
Then am dragged down to hell.
Because my love for you, to you I can’t tell.
I can’t because I have missed my chance.
And as I watch you two dance.
Seeing the resplendent glitter in my brothers eyes.
My heart dances as it cries.
The utter warmth in his laughter.
When he said “my best man’s my brother”.
Filled me with happiness unknown.
Which at the thought of you, turned into a moan.
Ignorance is bliss, knowledge is a curse.
This I have come to know, as I now carry this cross.
I’ll make no further fuss, till am six feet below.
You have become and will always be, my love, my woe.

Bitter-sweet. Yet, better the dreams than the abyss of desolation!
