For days my academics had stood still
And bowed to my worried mind
Born of my troubles I neither read
Nor heard what teacher said
If this persists then failure awaits me
A student needs a steady mind to cope
Psychologically balanced to carry on
Addiction is a strong distraction
Porn, alcohol, drugs, sex
A steady mind is born of a good relationship with the Lord
A stable mind comes
From obedience to the Lord
A student needs a steady mind to cope
Lord, help me to abide in you always
