These poems are the top 20 poems of the BRIGITTE POIRSON POETRY CONTEST (BPPC) August/September 2021. Poets featured in this edition are Ibiteye Overcomer Ibiaduradara, Glorious Kate Akpegah, Jewo Oghenetega, Ayobami Kayode Tijani Ah’mad, Bryan Joe Okwesili, ‘Mbagu Valentine, Olajuwon Joseph Olumide, Hussani Abdulrahim, Abiona Michelle Eniola, Shola Balogun, Akinlua Oluwaseun Mercy, Onuoha Anthony Tochukwu, Mozeedat Abdulrasak Kehinde, Abdulkareem Abdulkareem, Oyedepo Rodah Toluwalope, Akinrinade Funminiyi Isaac, Ebirim Tochukwu Praise, Adesina Ajala, Salami Alimot Temitope, and Nyaudo Amos. The BPPC is a monthly writing contest aimed at rewarding the under-appreciated talent of young Nigerian poets. It awards ₦30,000 in prize money to the top three entries.
