<p>Whether or not you obtained a spot <a href="https://www.wrr.ng/news/shortlist-eopp-2018/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label="in the finalist positions (opens in a new tab)">in the finalist positions</a>, this <strong> good news is for you!</strong>The Sprinng Literary Movement mentorship programme is an opportunity for you to gain tips to develop your creative writing skills in the genre of your choice.</p>



<p>The 2019 mentorship programme will be proceeding with the support of <a href="https://www.sprinng.org/2019-mentors.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">36 top contemporary award-winning Nigerian authors</a> including <a href="https://www.nigerianwriters.info/tolu-akinyemi.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Tolu Akinyemi</a>, the author of Your Father Walks Like a Crab, and <a href="https://www.nigerianwriters.info/tomi-adesina.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Tomi Adesina</a>, an AMVCA nominee for the Best Writer Award in 2018 who also bagged the AMAA award for Best Screenplay for her contribution to Hakkunde. Other mentors include Seye Kuyinu, Iyanu Adebiyi, Sarah Aluko, Seun Lari Williams, Emmanuel Jolayemi a.k.a. Kormbat, Servio Gbadamosi, Lawretta Egba <a href="https://www.sprinng.org/2019-mentors.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">and more</a>.</p>



<p>The best part of the 2019 Mentorship Programme is that the mentorship duration has been extended with more exciting activities such as <strong>contests for mentees with winning prizes including book vouchers to shop at bookstores and cash</strong>. And that isn’t all; the mentorship has been expanded to include more genres. We have mentors for Poetry, Fiction, Blogging, Book Reviewing, and Essay Writing.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">ABOUT EOPP:</h4>



<h5 class="wp-block-heading"><a href="https://www.wrr.ng/csr/eopp/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">EOPP was instituted</a> in 2012 as an annual Prize to give the much-needed attention to Nigerian poetry and encourage young Nigerian poets to use poetry as a tool for social change. The yearly contest has become the leading platform for the discovery, encouragement, and celebration of poets in Nigeria.</h5>
