BLACK! by Oluwatosin Kolawole

Read Time:21 Second

The radiantly shiny skin appeals to all
Some call it the coal-tar-like.
Others liken it to a charcoal…
It’s her colour; black!
Sometimes, she’s molested; called names, scorned-
Called a stain…
But feels glad with such embalmed colour,
Distinct; unique.
It is her pride, one she can’t let go
She has vowed to perish with this coal-tarred-charcoal-like-skin!
Shhhhhh! She’s proudly black!
