WHEN THE GODS WRESTLE

Read Time:47 Second

www.facebook.com/WRRPoetry [When The Gods Wrestle]
When gods wrestle
The sky rumbles in vain
And the clouds struggle in pain
To give us just a little rain

When gods wrestle
The land is parched
Crops die, trodden, as men march
And their children starve

When gods wrestle
The affairs of men die
The land breaks
Its inhabitants cry

When gods wrestle
Trying to be proven gods
Striving to remain gods
Hoping to be named gods

Then, their subjects struggle
They thirst and hunger
As the land is plundered
They can live no longer!

Oh when gods wrestle
Lives are lost
Men live in lust
What danger, the cost!
