WHEN THE DREAM DELAYS

Read Time:51 Second

www.facebook.com/WRRPoetry [When The Dream Delays]
You might have desired it at dawn
But at dusk, it is still far away
You might have envisioned its fulfillment
Yet it tarries long
Neither fret nor faint when it delays
Keep your eyes fixed on the sky
Neither shake nor shrink
Wait for the joyful moment
Neither yield to fear nor flight
Look beyond the darkness
Bestir yourself, hold on, and stay up
The delay will attract arrears
The delay will bow
Hold on, look up and leap to victory

You might have missed the target
Severally failed to attain success
Unable to satisfy the masters
While the mentors mourned you
Mockers cajoled your effort
Self-doubt assailed you
Condemnation ruled your heart
Hopeless and hapless
Hunted like a prey
Wearied like a desert traveler
You await the worst to happen
Yet the dream you must fulfill
Your waiting shall never be in vain.
