SEND US THE FEAR OF OLDS by Oluwaseun Shedrack Akodu

Read Time:1 Minute, 4 Second

Help this Nation oh! Beyond
Free this city
For the wicked trampled on the just
That those who lost their daughters
May find them
If that is not a deception.

Keep this city oh! Beyond
I mean the Just; Those whose
Living lies with gaari
Keep us from the impending fire
We whose house; thatched and tinder bamboo roof
Speak your comfort to the
Families of the deceased
Those who lost children; Breadwinners
In service of this Nation
To Boko haram
Speak to them your comfort
Those who seek bread
To have Xenophobia
Wipe the tears of their beloved.

And to the manoeuvre of these things
Desolate, forsaken their names
Shall be called
Those who stole the Joy
Of the Just for Juice
Send them to Eternal damnation
Those our father sold up
The sea that brought these
Shames for fame
Help them that they may
Sing of their guilt in Exile.

In your mercy give this
Nation that, that we crave for
Send us the fear of olds
That we may wine and dine
In love again
Spare the Just
When the fire of Revolution
Claims lives
Give us peace Again
The Real Independence.
