IF YOU SHALL BE FREE

Read Time:41 Second
If You Shall Be Free

Let your yes be yes
And you’ll live many years.
Not just the number of your days
But the sureness of your ways.

Let your work be good
Then sweet shall be the food
That rewards your worthy throat,
Unlike fools of evil rote.

Let your words be scarce,
Steer them like the wheel of cars.
For if your words be much like rain
They’ll steal from you tomorrows’ grain!

Let your desires be few
And gloat not at all things new.
For he who craves as he sees
Will drown in desire’s raging seas!

Lets peace be your lamp
Even in the enemy’s camp.
Give them no cause to grumble
And your feet shall never stumble!
