I WON’T RAISE MY VOICE

Read Time:59 Second

I gave you so much power
You reigned as you wished
It was meant to last much longer
But even the memories are perished
I hope you feel free now
After everything that went down

Did you read meaning into my words?
Did you try to understand them?
Or was I so wayward
That I was a fool’s emblem
I have thought it through
All my words were true

Everything was near perfection
There was no doubt in my mind
To love, I had no other option
I blessed fate for being so kind
But you proved me all wrong
I still wonder what I did wrong

Maybe you didn’t realise
That it was not about the present
But for every moment else
Together moving through those moments
Was it so impossible?
Or you thought you won’t be able?

I believed your honesty
Even when you lied
I just wanted you to stay
But now, I am so denied!
You have made your choice
I won’t raise my voice.
