EJIRO-OGHENE by Agele Ayo

Read Time:1 Minute, 3 Second

I did fly
Up, up, up the sky

Giving a big lie

That I won’t be back for a while.
Ejjiroh

She bent down so low

To the bone, she was weak to the marrow

She said “I will see him tomorrow”.
Early in the day

She expected my ray

“He will be back by May

I wish he never grant a delay”.
I did come back

Though, I never lacked

But I found a lock

On the door of her house, built of rock
Around her house I roamed

I was advised to go back home

I felt like I just came back from Rome

I felt some ache in my bone.
I kept waiting at her gate

Whenever it was late

I thought in me, she has a hate

I accepted my fate.
I looked a thousand of miles

I found her, with a face full of smile

Coming, walking in style

In me, I never felt a taste of bile.
She walked up to me in a line

Her smile hit the heart of mine

And she gave me a kiss that was so divine

Before she took me away to her vine.
