OMOGE AWELEWA – CAN YOU BEAR IT?

Read Time:1 Minute, 1 Second

Eleyinjuege!
My words have crawled
Upon the waters,
My heart had danced
About the quarters of crisis,
I hung my fear upon sky facade
And I have stolen courage
From the market of dexterity.

Do I scribble like a liar?
Omolewa!
Yes! Let my chant pound deceitful gong
Upon your listening passion,
Let me ensnare you
With beautiful words of oblivion.

Adesewa!
Let us bestow life upon the winds,
As they shall pound flutes of emotion
For nightingales to chorus in one accord
And for the stars to dance
With beeds chewing their busy waist.

Awelewa!
Can you bear it?
Observing my pen write on lonely walls
Of another heart,
Can you shoulder it?
Hearing my voice sing
As a distinct soul is captured?

If yes,then walk away,
Never return to that tree
Where we first met,for I shall curse her.
Go with alabi and I shall spank my feeling
If he responds in weakness.

Remember my words
Awelewa!
If a woman is entombed
In the crawl-way of my lyrics,
She shall forever swim
In fortunate streams.

Solve the puzzle of your thought
Awelewa!
For I shall wait on you.
Decide as soon as light fades
Into walls of the past.
