HOPE FOR RESCUE

Read Time:35 Second

I hear a voice calling from Sambisa
“Help us, Help us”
The voice is so profound that I couldnt sleep
“Save us, Save us,” they plead

Our futures and destinies are being destroyed
our pride, taken by force from us
and our dignity trampled upon by common men

“When will all these stop,” I ask
“If we are ever rescued,” they respond.

I shake my head in shock as I remember
how over 200 young women were taken by force into captivity
with no probability of ever returning.

Where is safe?
Where is secure?
Who will save us?

The unattended
unremembered
already forgotten Chibok girls
with little hopes of survival are questions
with only one answer – God
