WHERE WOULD I BE

Read Time:1 Minute, 15 Second

www.facebook.com/WRRPoetry [Where Would I Be]
Where would I be after the Lord comes?
Where would I be after the world transforms?
Would I be garbed in white in the city above?
Would I dine with raging fires in eternal love?

When the sun loses light and stars begin to fall,
When the Lamb comes with his trumpet to call,
After the heavenly bodies have been shaken,
To what place would my uncertain soul be taken?

I know that not all that call ‘Lord, Lord’ will be saved.
Not all that go each day to kirk will be craved:
I know many are called but a few are chosen.
How am I to know I’ll go with them; not roast in the oven?

I’m not the best of Christians neither am I the worst
No gimmicks but in everything I do I put God first.
I work with assiduity in the Lord’s vineyard
But to heaven, I don’t know if I’ve got a Green Card.

Where would I be is the question on my lips,
is it where joy resides or where everyone weeps,
where would I be is the long and short of my thoughts
sometimes I’m positive, other times there are many buts.
