VENDOR’S BOY

Read Time:1 Minute, 4 Second

It is bliss to have a dream
But illegal to kill one
Do you hear these words
O poor vendor‘s boy?

You burned with passion
For the green land in morrow’s eyes;
Shedding all besetting weights
Your chase was steady with intent.
That was the morning in life,
Now noon has come
When the sun ought to shine over you
But it’s shadow that is casts

Your Lord came over you
Taught you his trade ways
And ensured you ceded carts upon carts
Even the deepest things of your heart

Silently, it still cries out to you
The visions of your boyhood
Far beyond the grasp of your master
For he will never know any deeper

Your place is with princes
To ride upon horse, lead in chariots
But you’re trading on foot
For a slave is not more than his master

It is bliss you have a dream
But illegal that he kills your one
Do you hear these words
O poor vendor’s boy?
