THE TAX COLLECTOR

Read Time:39 Second

In just a visit, she came
mute and gentle, she came
creeping like a thief, she came
with a bag so little, she came
like a tax collector, yes! She came.

With silent and perfected skills, she picked
his pains, his ache, she picked
his rhythm, his laughter, she picked
ah! His vision, his dreams, o yes! She picked
hmm! What a tax collector, indeed.

Swift and witty this game she played.
with naught in her hands, hmm! She came
like a keeper, yes! She picked
with blood in her palms, ah! She left
oh! A heartless collector of time is her name.
