POOR BASTARD

Read Time:34 Second

www.facebook.com/WRRPoetry [Poor Bastard]
There won’t be anybody
to sing dirges and mourn
or even heap praises
on your lifeless body

You shall carry with you
your good deeds
to the shelter of the earth
and we shall scorn you

At your burial
we shall have tears of laughter
we shall drink ourselves stupid
and spit at your grave

Forget wreaths from us
we shall decorate your mound
with a crown of thorns
and uproot the lillies near there

For all there is in the world
why die young
when life is a mere bud
and through hanging?
