OUR LOVE JUST DIED: by Abiola Inioluwa Oluwaseun

Read Time:42 Second

The love we yielded
Was mightier than the
United Ocean,
We realized her origin
And felt there was no end.

Emotional furnace
Veiled our heart.
When we were perplexed
It seemed as if the sun
Was gonna crumble off the sky.

But all was myth.
Sometimes man’s destiny
Might not be in his hands.
Can this bond be broken?
A love toothsome as the honey
Now stings like a scorpion.

But
Shall I ever forget you?
Even if the horizon
Shall slaughter all we shared
Shall I ever detest you?
Even when it seems you’ve
Ruptured my soul.

Fate unified us
Destiny isolating us
I will miss you, yes!
The times we used to share
The smile from our faces.
But on this grieved walls
Of my shadow
None shall inscribe on it
Till eternity
The word of trust.
