OF A PAUPER VILLAGE

Read Time:23 Second

www.facebook.com/WRRPoetry [Of A Pauper Village]
Brandishing his begging bowl
An altar of meager dole
He blinks and winks anew
Like frying fry stew
Upon a Christmas ‘coal

Jerry dumb I became
To laugh over what funny tom
This lensed *mzee has become
In this pauper village
…Too lacking to litter sewage

*Swahili word meaning elder.
