MY THORN-IN-FLESH PRAYER

Read Time:56 Second

www.facebook.com/WRRPoetry [My Thorn-In-Flesh Prayer]
There is a thorn in my flesh
It pierces so deep when I’m wet
It burns so hard
I want to pull but I’m tense
My hands and fingers are bent
So it scalds my heart

There is a thorn in my flesh
That has my thought ‘capriced’
I see the good but do the vile
Even when I plead for my vice
The heavens and folks rile
Because up Heaven‘s stile
My sinful deeds are a pile

There is a thorn in my flesh
A gift or curse I do not know
It is the mark I got from the cradle
The one that crumbled the temple
And the precious life of men of old
Hence it is mine to struggle
But I lack the strength for battle
Unless you send your mantle
