LET US HAVE THAT PEACE AGAIN by Oluwaseun Shedrack Akodu

Read Time:30 Second

And the day a mist
bloody hectic day of war
Brothers drenched in blood
Sister heads to bush
Mothers breastfeeding the dog
Fathers in tunnel
Their return uncertain.
The turning from peace.

Peace the sole friend of the soul
we wine and dine in love
Carrying each other’s cross in ease
We push together every thoughts of bad
Until Boko haram came
we lost sisters, no peace of mind
Xenophobia came we lost brothers
Oh! thee beyond
Let us have that peace again.
