IN ODD TIMES

Read Time:43 Second

In odd times;
winter blows,
snow falls,
trees shake,
earth quakes,
thunders strikes,
rivers still
leaves brown,
peace frowns.

In odd times;
things fall apart,
worries hug the heart,
courage retires,
summer wear a strange attire,
joy sits in ashes,
happiness gnashes,
music makes men wail,
promises fail.

In odd times
beauty fades
fingers toil like spades
roses grow thorns
the moon causes burns.
rivers scald,
babies go bald
sugarcane is bitter
brother fights sister.

But, in odd times,
when things go to rot
I think this thought;
if lifeless things,
non living being,
would take it all with grim face,
should I of the human race
not do the same as they,
when odd times come saying, “Hey”?
