it’s odour!

I have merengue<br>
my tongue<br>
to be modern</p>
<p>‘Good morning!’<br>
I have learnt saying<br>
this at the wake<br>
of every dawn</p>
<p>But what has not<br>
become<br>
my part<br>
and my blood</p>
<p>is taking my<br>
slippers in<br>
my foot along to my<br>
bed, because I’m a black man.</p>
