EVE STILL LIVES

Read Time:1 Minute, 4 Second

www.facebook.com/WRRPoetry [Eve Still Lives]

Can a man take fire in his bosom and not be burnt?
Can he step on hot coals and his feet not be hurt?

Listen to me, young man,
Do you love the life you now live?
Consider the story of your father Adam
And beware of the daughters of Eve.

Desist from your flirtation with the whoring bitch,
For even the Holy Book called her a deep ditch;
Many great men have fallen into that hole
And some too have lost their life goals,
Others for a morsel traded their souls.

Who sold out Samson, if not the she-Mole?
Was Ahab’s damnation to hell
Not facilitated by wicked Jezebel?
When David stared as she took her bath,
He never knew what would be the aftermath.

So my son, if you mustn’t end likewise,
Consider these stories and be wise
For their history is there to teach
And help you save nine with just one stitch.

Therefore whenever an Eve, no matter how cute,
Comes dangling before you, the forbidden fruit,
Don’t just scream, “Satan get behind me”
But like Joseph, take to your heels and flee!
