DREAMS by Eseohe Pearl Ebhota

Read Time:32 Second

I had a dream

I woke up to screams
In a far-away realm
Strange creatures of my imagination
Danced to the rhythm of my drum
This dream which was
Numb without a feel
Like the fillings in a sandwich
Invaded my thoughts
Hence I refuse to be weak
In this world of cripples
My hope lies in my freedom
I place a seal upon my fate
To be reconnected with the wild and free

Now I roam the forests and hills
With no tears to shed
With my basket of hope I shall dine
When finally the wall of uncertainties shall crash
Upon my dream
