CRUCIFIED CHRIST

Read Time:58 Second

www.facebook.com/WRRPoetry [Crucified Christ]
Multitudes were there but His pain none could bear
The women shed their tears because they love Him so dear
The sheep scattered the moment the Shepherd was captured
If I were there, what courage would I have nurtured?

Thrice a dear follower denied Him, oh what a shameful lie
If mortal men were God they’ll spare him not to die
That brings in mind the question, how merciful is our God!
Gave His only son for a ransom, our redemption was His blood

I owed the debt, I didn’t pay; He paid the debt he didn’t owe
He died so I might reap life where I didn’t sow
Guarded by soldiers, His tomb was like a prison
But glory! Glory!! Glory!!! The third day; “he has risen!”

That’s why I yearn for the altar, on bruised and bended knees
It’s Him I’m running after, to honor His decrees
Though trials beset me, in Him I’ll gladly hide
Forsake me not, Crucified Christ, in you alone I confide
