BE THE JUDGE

Read Time:1 Minute, 13 Second

www.facebook.com/WRRPoetry [Be The Judge]

Ever heard a people reproach Alcohol yet embrace hashish
A laggard begging for alms yet dictate to you what to give
People pontificating about God in the day
Yet communing with pantheons at night

Ever been midway into a book and short of what to write
Ever been in the middle of a session and lost steam to continue
Ever shut a noisy chick up because she was faking an accent
Have you ever agreed to an argument just to allow for peace to reign

Ever been eager to hop into a bus and the door was latched
Ever heard a 7 year old miss query her mother
Why she spoils her sleep with screams at night
Thinking she was praying, while she in fact was straddling in fulfillment
That her prayers had come true with Jack, the laborer

Ever heard a father say to his daughter who had come of age
Not to do with anyone that which he does with her best friends
Ever heard that!

Ever seen a boy calling his father’s bluff
Paying the same mistress for the same stuff?
His father, a perfect attorney made to huff and puff!
Ever heard a man, be a judge in his own court
To adjudicate between himself and his wife and his son and his mistress?
