It is in recognition of this that the ‘Eriata Oribabhor Poetry Prize’ initiative came to be in 2012 with <a href="http://wordsrhymesandrhythm.wordpress.com/2012/12/23/winners-of-the-eriata-oribhabor-poetry-prize-2012/">Mr. Nwakanma Chika emerging the first prize winner of the 1st edition.</a>
<p>The 2nd edition is here and WRRPoetry invites all <a class="zem_slink" title="Poet" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poet" target="_blank" rel="wikipedia noopener noreferrer">poets</a> and lovers of literature to send well-worded poems that promote truth, justice, change and sustainable development in the nation.</p>
<p>‘Eriata Oribhabor Poetry Prize’ is sponsored by author, <a class="zem_slink" title="Publishing" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Publishing" target="_blank" rel="wikipedia noopener noreferrer">publisher</a> and promoter of Naija Langwej, Mr. Eriata Oribhabor, in collaboration with international poets’ movement <a href="www.facebook.com/WRRPoetry">Words Rhymes And Rhythm</a> (WRRPoetry).</p>
<p><strong>GUIDELINES:</strong><br>
*The theme is restricted to ‘<a class="zem_slink" title="Sustainable development" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sustainable_development" target="_blank" rel="wikipedia noopener noreferrer">SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT</a>’ in our societies.<br>
*Entries must be original intellectual property of the entrants and cannot be altered or changed after submission.<br>
*Kindly include a short bio (50 words maximum) and contact info (your full name, email address, phone number) in your submission.<br>
*Authors retain copyright of their poems but submission gives us the permission to publish selected poems in a future anthology.<br>
*Poems should not be more than 30 lines (verse)<br>
*All submissions should be made via email as BODY of mail to wrrpoetry@yahoo.com with the subject: ‘Eriata Oribhabor Poetry Prize 2013’. No attachments, please.<br>
*Entrants are advised to like <a href="www.facebook.com/WRRPoetry">WRRPoetry’s facebook</a> page (www.facebook.com/WRRPoetry) and follow the twitter account @WRRPoetry for updates.</p>
<p><strong>CLOSING DATE:</strong> Entries will be received until 31st July, 2013.<br>
By 5th August, 2013, the shortlist of 10 poems will be published and eventual winners announced shortly after.</p>
<p>NOTE: Judges will be looking out for originality and their decision remains final.</p>

<p><strong>PROFILE OF Mr. Eriata ORIBHABOR</strong></p>
<p>Mr Oribhabor holds a B.Sc. (Pol. Sci) degree, an Essayist, Poet, Chairman, <a class="zem_slink" title="Association of Nigerian Authors" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Association_of_Nigerian_Authors" target="_blank" rel="wikipedia noopener noreferrer">Association of Nigerian Authors</a>, <a class="zem_slink" title="Abuja" href="http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=9.06666666667,7.48333333333&;spn=0.1,0.1&;q=9.06666666667,7.48333333333%20(Abuja)&;t=h" target="_blank" rel="geolocation noopener noreferrer">Abuja</a>, and member of the Naija Langwej Akedemi put together by the Institute of French Research in Africa (IFRA-NG).</p>
<p>Promoter of Naija langwej (<a class="zem_slink" title="Nigeria" href="http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=9.06666666667,7.48333333333&;spn=10.0,10.0&;q=9.06666666667,7.48333333333%20(Nigeria)&;t=h" target="_blank" rel="geolocation noopener noreferrer">Nigerian</a> Pidgin), he once wrote the column Naija Langwej A-Z in Leadership Newspaper, Abuja Nigeria. His first published book, Abuja Na Kpangba an oda puem-dem (IFRA-Oribhabor, 2010) is a collection of poems in Naija.</p>
<p>He is the Editor of If Yu Hie Se A De Prizin, an anthology of poems in Naija. His forth-coming work, ‘‘The Good Old Naija’’ is a collection of essays published in his column, ‘‘Naija Langwej A-Z’’ in Leadership and defunct The Market magazine. Oribhabor manages a publishing outfit called Something for Everybody Ventures.</p>
