SPANNING YESTERYEARS (a poem by Thaalith Abubakar Gimba)

Read Time:27 Second
Once upon an utterly smoky couple,
Whose love blossomed in this century,
Seeped with an affinity not to befuddle.
Despite their slightly flawed chemistry,
Steadfast, perfected the art of love.
The lovebirds shamed disciples of devil,
In their duet spanning yesteryears above.
Through thick and thin they confined evil,
In the nooks of their sacred hearts.
Officially they register as man and wife,
Earning their romantic sequel more parts.
Yearned together to begin a new life,
Savouring the enchanting part of their wedlock,
Malignant foes could break not their padlock.
