Laying on the pad of life
A thousand blocks of words…
What will my end be afterwards?

No, I do not fear death.
But I fear, for my name after death
What will the tongues of man say?
After the night that births no day?

Life is a market, we trade
When we leave, where will our names be laid;
Brief letterings on trampled sand
Or deep etchings into rock-land?

When I lay in the silent casket
Will eyes leak water like basket?
Would I be laid as ‘the Good Fellow?’
Or just another Zero hero?

Here I am, laying blocks still
My words grow from pile to hill
I ask myself, “Will I linger after halt
Or die to join the ‘Forgotten’ cult”

So I fear not the jaws of death
Not the loss of borrowed breath…
I fear the heavenly flight
Only for my name’s plight
