WHITE LIE by Paul Word

Read Time:31 Second

I hid under this robe of pretence
And watched you slit me in tense,
The dagger sunk in five feet deep
I stood, watching my heart weep.

Lies wrapped in chameleon foil
Changing shades of colour,
Many shade of lie painted white
Lies painted like a fine art.

Fragment of what true,
My heart clinch in pain
Lies became the truth you told
My heart became the piece you sold.

Symphony of deceit
Polls apart we did sit
Orchestrating our death like a conductor.

You planted your care with thistle
It hit me like a missile,
Our relationship sunk
I played Jack
I died.
