UNWRITTEN LOVER

Read Time:1 Minute, 1 Second

www.facebook.com/WRRPoetry [Unwritten Lover]
A minute ago I came from the well
Where cheeks were swelling
Eyes bright with gladness

For a glimpse, a second, I watched
Your perfect shadow coming towards me
Its smile bright as day light

“Fancy face” you called me
When nature represented life’s Innocence
Now I’m suffocated by your vile smell

With hard beating
Clothes torn, split lips caused the words to slur
Scratch marks exhibited on once immaculate body

Forcing yourself on me
Ripping the cloth that covered my Kingdom
You entered me with no permission

“I am your man”
“I feed you”
“You owe me” You said

My mumbling silenced by your cold drunken stare
My soul sees the shame
You now call me a whore

I pulled that trigger the fourth time
It’s in these moments that I realize
You almost killed my existence

Unwritten lover, dry your silent tears
Your cheeks will blossom once again
Like a rose that grows from a cradle of concrete
