THERE IS PEACE IN THIS LAND | a poem by Imam Sarafadeen

Read Time:51 Second
There is peace in this land

Dark hands touch light hands
A young face looks into an old one
All people are working together
For a goal to be revealed

Stranger & stranger walk together
Foe & foe are now friends
All people are helping each other
Making beginnings meet ends

One heart understands the other
One soul reaches out to another
Young ones are feeding the elders
With plate, fork, spoon & bowl.

A rich man is helping a poor man
A convict is dancing with a child,
People put aside their differences
& proclaim a triumphant hope

Now, there is peace in this land
