THE KISS WAS SWEET by Bamigbola Silas

Read Time:39 Second

The kiss was sweet;
It was a drop of honey on my lips,
My tastebud was not familiar with it;
That was the first time
I had it in my entire life.
That night
I gave her my best strength.

Alas!
It was a fiery dart
Shot straight to my liver;
It struck me deeply,
The pain was hell,
I mean a throe that pangs;
The scar I bear
Till now.

-to that young boy/man that is about to loose his pride.

For every drop of the kiss
Is a flop for your life.
And the honey,
An horror in waiting.
Though sweet but swift
To sweep your feet off.
Take heed!
