THE HILL WE CLIMB & SHADOW IN THE DARK (two poems by Stephen S. Moore)

Read Time:1 Minute, 29 Second
THE HILL WE CLIMB
 The hill we climb
 It's steep and sprain,
 But it's a task that we MUST endeavor
 No matter our status and fervour.

 It's not a journey too far,
 Neither is it too hard;
 Rising from the bottom to the top,
 Gives a stern root that'll last.

 We may be pushed down 7ft low,
 But we can rise up 8ft above..
 The challenges of each day may try to make our efforts seem as nothing,
 Keep climbing cause you know that you're aiming for something.

 Bitter-sweet is the experience when you get on the top of that hill,
 Gaining nothing less than a future full of honey and milk.
 Condemning the ugly face of the dark struggles in the past,
 Saluting your efforts in reaching up the hill that fast..

 The hill we Climb
 Brave are the hearts of those that must get there;
 Strong is the resolve of the minds that will reach there.
 Cooperation is the tool of the journey
 Confidence keeps our feet from falling

 Being patriotic to the core
 Makes us strong and our efforts to hold
 Taking one another hands
 Creating the balance for everyone to stand

SHADOW IN THE DARK
Positioning myself well for the love I deserve,
 Checking round about couldn't get myself serve.

 Increasing my search in every-trials,
 Looking in their eyes intently, but couldn't get my desire.

 Going through the boredom of a social life-
 Was like I got my heart on several knifes.

 My heart crashed several times,
 When trying to find a valentine.

 Although she was right by, I couldn't see neither did I grasp her smile.
 Suddenly she tapped me from the back, then I smiled cuz she was my shadow, and I was only in the dark.
