THE GRAND DILEMMA

Read Time:58 Second
www.facebook.com/WRRPoetry [The Grand Dilemma]

As night draws on
I get embittered,
“Nothing has been achieved”.
As morning draws on
I hope night will never give way,
“Each day is like yesterday”.

As I try to be idle,
I get scared,
“Nothingness and emptiness is what it breeds”.
As I try to get busy,
I get discouraged,
“It may end how it has always ended”.

As I try to keep to myself,
I keep travelling to wonderland,
And from there to slumber land.
As I try to interact with people,
What I see in most makes me sad
And nearly makes me mad.

As I try to be kind to people,
I start nursing double mind,
“It may never be appreciated”.
As I try to be wicked,
I get mad at myself,
“Why try to ruin myself.”

As I try to take life by its horns,
I wonder if my attempt is of any use
When life itself seems of no use;
I always rebuke myself,
Whenever I wish I’m dead,
I say “such are the thoughts of cowards.”
