THAT PART OF YOU (by Emmanuel-Abdalmasih Samson )

Read Time:23 Second
That Part of You

That part of you,
That lives inside me,
I know the texture of it—
Flannelette-soft.
It sings for me—
Nightingale-sweet.
It smells of jasmine;
My soul hankers for it.

I know the shape of it—
The “O” of lips teeming with kiss,
A full moon, whose light
Dissolves the walls of darkness
That separates you from me,
Guiding me you-ward.
