TELL ME THE TIME

Read Time:47 Second

www.facebook.com/WRRPoetry [Tell Me The Time]
Living each day is a threat
For like the hunted I do not know
When a perfect spear
Will drive its teeth down my marrow

My lot then is fear
Of the unknown and the known
Even when I summon courage
I give it back for it is a loan

What I know is I’ll go someday
In old age or in prime
But so much ease I shall feel
If by chance I learn the time

This suspense beats me
Prunes a debate within
And I, a spectator, wide-eared
Await a result compelling.

Do I submit myself
For divine prognostication?
Or wallow in uncertainties
till my mystic cessation?

My madness is endless
My fear remains the same
But both may abscond
If only someone tells me the time
