SWITCHING ALLEGIANCE

Read Time:37 Second

www.facebook.com/WRRPoetry [Switching Allegiance]
Better tell a truth to make me weep
Than tell a lie to make me smile
Let me understand who I am
To fathom whose I am

You think you are free
No escape is possible
We are prisoners
Just can’t see the prison walls

Government becomes a lawbreaker
Breeds contempt for law
Legalized extortion
Everyman becomes a law unto himself
Anarchy unleashed

Until we make truth great
Before we can be great

Some generations are called to be great
One generation plants the tree
Another gets the shade
It’s a choice to be a part

Switching allegiance.
